A livestock auction site on Easy.Auction is an online auction website on your own domain where breeders and breed associations sell cattle, sheep, goats and other animals in timed auctions. Breed-specific details such as bloodline, birth date or registration number are recorded through custom attributes defined per category, since they are not built-in fields. Multi-seller mode lets association members list their own animals, and the association can charge a commission percentage or listing fees. New users can be verified by SMS as well as by email. Can our breed association let members sell their own animals on one site?
Yes. Easy.Auction's multi-seller mode lets members list their own animals, eBay style, on the association's site. The association, as owner, can charge sellers a commission percentage or listing fees, and seller ratings and feedback help buyers judge each breeder over time.
Can I record an animal's bloodline and herd book registration number?
Yes, through custom attributes. Easy.Auction has no built-in pedigree fields, but the site owner defines custom attributes per category, for example a registration number for cattle or a yes/no field for polled animals. Each listing in that category then shows those details to bidders.
Can buyers bid on animals while they are busy on the farm?
Yes. Absentee bidding lets a buyer set a maximum bid in advance, and Easy.Auction bids automatically on their behalf up to that amount. Outbid emails report when that maximum has been passed, and watch lists keep track of the animals a buyer is following.
